 ClearTech® is a completely new lamp technology that was originally developed by LTI, Ltd. of Hungary in combination with SunMaster® here in the USA. It is more than new, it is stronger, better tanning and has a longer life than old fashioned tanning lamps. It is a completely different kind of tanning lamp technology, which makes comparing it to other lamps difficult, even other SunMaster lamps.For starters, ClearTech lamps use a completely different glass. Regular tanning lamps use the same glass found in your office lights. These are made in glass factories, and some of the tubes become office lights, others become tanning lights. This old glass was never intended for tanning lamps, so they block a large portion of the UV. ClearTech tanning lamps use a special glass that is found in no other tanning bulb. It is more transparent to UV, so more of the UV escapes. It produces more UV and a wider spectrum, making them more sun-like. This means your skin turns brown, not orange.
