This 4 lamp UV Cure kit contains:
1) SH100 ballast
4) ClearTech 120R FR71T12 100W lamps
8) SM bi pin lamp holders
Note: This is our most common configuration for UV curing and one or more of these kits tend to work perfect in most applications. CT120R/SH100 is also the most tested configuration by finish manufacturers. If you are not completely sure which configuration you need, this setup, using 1 or more of these kits, is the safest bet.
Our highest 100W lamp for total UV output. Full spectrum UVA/UVB with highest center at 370nm. Available in size F71T12-100w only (just under 6 foot) for this application. This is a bi-pin lamp. Average lamp life is 1400 hours (ie: UV output is 70%+ of original), which is considerably higher than most other lamps. For UV curing, you are likely to get over 2000 hours with this particular lamp by gradually increasing the exposure time after 1000 hours. The lamp will usually burn for hundreds of hours after its useful life is exhausted (ie: It will produce visible light, but less and less UV). You can also call and order without the lamp ends or in any other configuration.
The lamp ends are a special design for this type of ballast (ultra high frequency) and require a cut out of 1 inch x .55 inch in size. The lamp end is installed from behind the cutout, and the wires are stabbed directly into the lamp end. The ballast comes with full length wire (36"+) and shouldn't require any additional wire. If you need extra wire to chain the lamp ends for the yellow leads (for wider lamp spacing), then use any solid wire, 600v rated, 22 gauge or larger.
For applications that require 8, 12, 16 or more lamps, simply purchase multiples of this kit. Shipping for one kit will be the same for up to 4 kits. Allow a few days for special packaging before it will ship.
Mounting: The kit now comes with mounting pieces for the lamp ends. This is an aluminum piece, cut out specifically for this lamp end, and is just tall enough to allow the wires to come out of the bottom. This can be mounted quickly and easily to any wood surface, or almost as easily to any metal surface. The kit comes with two of these complete lamp end pieces for each lamp. This ballast will work with any size lamp from F59T12 to F78T12.
